Arlington's suspended ceiling boxes are designed to mount a fan or fixture on to a suspended ceiling grid, the all metal fan and fixture boxes save money and installation time! They ship fully assembled, ready for a centered installation on a 24" grid. Centering the box in the ceiling grid needs no adjustment to box or bracket. To mount the box off center, simply loosen the screws and slide the box into position on the bracket. Then retighten the screws. Our lighter weight one piece FS420SCL, for fixtures only, saves time and money. Plus, it’s tested and UL/CSA Listed to hold up to 50 lbs as required by NEC, 314.27 (outlet box must support a 50 lb luminaire). Eliminate guesswork and the cost of field assembled components with FS420SCL! The heavy duty plated steel FBRS420SC with adjustable mounting bracket, is UL Rated to hold a fan or fixture up to 70 lbs, and CSA Rated for a 50 lb fan or fixture.

Installation Instructions for FS420SCL and FS427SCL

Cut 4-1/16" diameter
hole in center of a 24"
ceiling tile.

Place box over hole.
Place ends of
support bar over
ceiling grid (tees).

Wire Grabber™
connector and .080"
braided wire provide
secure drop
wire support.

Loosen screw...

...to change
orientation of end

Break off mounting
clips to lower box
position for ceiling
tiles that extend
below the grid.

Cut 4-1/16" diameter
hole in center of a 24"
ceiling tile.

Place box over hole.
Drop wire must be
centered over box.

Snap ends of support
bar over ceiling grid
(tees). IF REQUIRED
by local code: use
sheet metal screws
to hold ends of bracket
on ceiling grid.
