Adjustable In/Out Box for Ceiling Fixtures

Our new FA426 In/Out Box for ceiling fixtures comes pre-set for 1/2" ceiling depth, but adjusts up to 1-1/2" to accommodate varying ceiling thicknesses, like single or double drywall. It mounts securely to the ceiling joist in new construction and is listed for fixture support up to 50lbs. The FA426 features an always accessible depth adjustment screw that allows for depth adjustment of the box before OR after the ceiling is in place. It complies with 2014 NEC, 314.20 for set back boxes and is also UL/CSA Listed.

1. Install FA426 onto joist with a minimum of
    four (4) screws; two (2) through front flange,
    one (1) in each rear position.

2. After installing
    the box on joist,
    slide plastic insert
    into box. Pull the
    NM cable through
    the installed NM
    connector.

3. After installation of wall board is complete,
    use the depth adjustment screw to adjust
    position of FA426 box if necessary. FA426
    adjusts up to 1-1/2” for ceiling thickness.
